Dr. Kathleen Kimball is the 2026 Democratic candidate for Connecticut's 87th House District, representing North Haven. An emergency and urgent care veterinarian, educator, and community advocate, Dr. Kimball is running for State Representative because she believes every North Haven family deserves strong public schools, fortified healthcare access, improved affordability, and a representative who fights for them every day.

Background & Experience

Dr. Kimball has built a career around calm, decisive leadership in high-pressure situations. As an emergency veterinarian, she helps families navigate their most difficult moments — making complex decisions with compassion, urgency, and care. That experience has directly shaped her approach to public service: listen carefully, focus on solutions, and never lose sight of the people depending on you.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Kimball serves as an educator, training and mentoring the next generation of veterinary doctors. She credits her own educational journey with opening doors that defined her career, and that experience drives her commitment to ensuring every Connecticut student has access to a high-quality education, regardless of their zip code.

Dr. Kimball is also a proud member of a multiracial immigrant family which includes representation from Italy, the Philippines, South America, and more.
