Candidate for Third Selectman

David Cohen is a dedicated public servant, small business owner, and longtime North Haven resident running for Selectman because he believes in North Haven’s future — and is ready to help lead it forward.

A volunteer firefighter with the North Haven Fire Department and active member of the North Haven Democratic Town Committee’s Executive Board, David has spent the last decade giving back to the town that welcomed his family with open arms.

Professionally, David serves as Mergers & Acquisitions Counsel at Amphenol Corporation, a Fortune 500 company headquartered in Wallingford. He brings years of experience advising on complex, high-stakes negotiations across the globe — experience he’s ready to put to work locally to strengthen North Haven’s economy, protect town finances, and advocate for residents.

David is also a small business owner, operating a local gym and fitness center, and a former public school teacher committed to ensuring every North Haven student has the tools they need to succeed.

He is running for Selectman to:

Promote smart economic growth that supports local businesses and brings good-paying jobs to town.
Advocate for strong public schools and ensure teachers and students have the resources they need.
Support public safety by ensuring first responders have the staffing, training, and equipment they need.
Preserve the quality of life we enjoy — from town services to parks, the pool, concerts on the Green, and the Senior Center.
Build community through open dialogue, transparency, and a collaborative approach to local government.

David and his wife Kim are proud parents of two North Haven Middle School students. His passion for service, professional expertise, and deep roots in our community make him a strong voice for progress, responsibility, and unity.
