Meet Joel Rudikoff: Candidate for Zoning Board of Appeals

Joel Rudikoff brings over 25 years of public service, legal expertise, and policy leadership to his candidacy for North Haven’s Zoning Board of Appeals. A seasoned legal counsel with the Connecticut General Assembly, Joel currently serves as Chief Legal Counsel for the Senate Democratic Caucus, where he advises on legislation, policy, and regulatory matters that shape communities across the state.

Joel holds a J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School and a B.A. in Political Science from Rutgers University. His deep understanding of law, land use policy, and government process makes him uniquely equipped to thoughtfully interpret and apply zoning regulations on behalf of North Haven residents.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Joel is deeply rooted in community service. He served as a commissioner and vice chair of the Connecticut Judicial Selection Commission, chaired the Advisory Council to the Office of the Child Advocate, and held multiple leadership roles at Congregation Mishkan Israel in Hamden. Locally, he has also served as Vice Chair of the North Haven Democratic Town Committee in 2014.
