Brandi Mandato

Brandi Mandato is a lifelong public servant and nationally recognized expert in workforce development, economic justice, and public safety innovation. With over two decades of leadership experience across the nonprofit, government, and higher education sectors, Brandi has built a career rooted in service, advocacy, and results.

Brandi currently serves as Senior Director at Jobs for the Future, where she helped launch the first national policy center focused on economic advancement for people with conviction records. She works directly with legislators, community leaders, and justice-impacted individuals to develop modern, effective public safety and economic mobility strategies.

Prior to that, she held senior leadership roles at The City University of New York and The Doe Fund, where she led initiatives generating over $25 million in investments, expanded education and career pathways for marginalized communities, and partnered with government agencies to improve outcomes for those facing barriers.

A proud resident of North Haven, Brandi serves on the Economic Development Commission and is an active founding member of North Haven Pride. She brings both professional expertise and personal passion to everything she does—always focused on creating safe, welcoming, and opportunity-rich communities.

Brandi’s extensive background in justice reform, public-private partnerships, and community safety uniquely qualifies her to serve as Constable. She is committed to fairness, compassion, and protecting the rights and dignity of all North Haven residents.
