Steve Gifford is an accomplished business leader, dedicated public servant, and active community member running for North Haven Town Treasurer. With decades of executive-level experience in finance, human resources, and organizational leadership — and a commitment to transparency and fiscal responsibility — Steve is ready to ensure that taxpayer dollars are managed wisely and strategically.

Currently serving as Vice Chair of the North Haven Democratic Town Committee, Steve provides strategic guidance and fosters collaboration to advance the town’s priorities. His community service experience also includes six years on the North Haven Economic Development Commission, and five years in the US Army as a tank officer. Professionally, Steve is a human resources professional, and holds a Masters in Business Administration.

As Town Treasurer, Steve will:

• Maintain rigorous oversight of the town’s finances to ensure transparency and fiscal responsibility.

• Provide strategic guidance to safeguard taxpayer dollars and maximize returns on investments.

• Foster open communication with residents about financial decisions and priorities.

Steve and his wife Holly have raised two sons in the North Haven Public Schools, with one now attending a prestigious college. They are both active in community and school events, reflecting their shared commitment to making North Haven an even better place to live.
